Contact www.theaugustfund.com if you'd be interested in adopting any of these sweeties!
Excited to say we don't have any fosters at the moment! Feel free to contact the August Fund if you'd like to see the other dogs they have available though.
Contact us if interested in any of these available dogs/puppies - more info available if you view their individual pictures
Here are the dogs we have that are too young to race at the moment - the future of our kennel! Select puppies from our litters may be available for sale - send us an email at meredith@funontherunkennel.com if you'd like to be on our future puppy list!
Our breeding goals (in order of most important to least important):
Producing AHE clear dogs who will be succesful in harness into their golden years, bred and whelped naturally
Producing dogs that are not human or dog aggressive, with a strong work ethic, good feet and coat, and ravenous appetite that can excel in harness
Producing dogs that do not get injured, or when they are injured they recover quickly
Producing dogs that excel in whatever race venue they pursue (distance, mid-distance, dryland, etc), or as sporting dogs/pets
In order to ensure that we are meeting our breeding goals, we require our puppy/dog buyers to remain in contact with us for the dog's life, so we have more data to evaluate on how our dogs turn out as they age, and what health problems may crop up in our lines.
Contact us if you'd be interested in buying one (or more) of these future pups. Parents pedigrees available upon request. Contact us for info on pricing.
Vinson X Lava - Lava is on the smaller side for a female, but no smaller than most of the dogs on my race team. Vinson is second only to his father, Doctor, in size, so I think he's a perfect fit for this girl! Lava is also one of the closest breedings in the kennel, so the outcrossed Mackey line in Vinson's pedigree will help bring genetic diversity to her incredible drive. I'm hoping Vinson will add a bit more bone and leg length, and her angles will help complement his even more. Pups expected February 2019.
Sarah Jane X ??? - As yet undediced which dog I'll be breeding my beloved lead dog too (I need to figure out which dog is most worthy of my girl!). Potential mates include Dubstep or ???. Potential breeding spring 2019.
The following are our proven studs, and/or those who have passed all health testing and have not yet sired a litter. Contact us for pricing and information about our stud contracts if you'd like to use any of our dogs to sire a litter for the future of your kennel!
Our oldies but goodies; dogs that have raced with us for years, and now have a happy life in the backyard
We don't have just sled dogs - here are the other crazy animals at the kennel!
Dogs who've passed away, but have left a lasting impression on the kennel
